‘The Price We Pay’ weaves together the stories of ordinary people whose fates are affected by the climate crisis and the fossil industry.In Emilia-Romagna, Maria Gordini, a farmer, lost her home and business due to the severe floods that hit the region heavily in 2023 and 2024. In Basilicata, Camilla Nigro, Isabella Abate and Giorgio Santoriello live with the heavy consequences of the mining activities of ENI, Shell and TotalEnergies. The territories where they live, marked by decades of drilling, are home to the largest onshore oil field in Western Europe.
